Samsung 750 EVO SSD Now Available Worldwide With 500GB Capacity

Samsung today announced that it’s expanding the availability of its 750 EVO solid state drive worldwide. The company also confirmed that the SSD which was previously available in 120GB and 250GB capacity is now available worldwide in 500GB capacity as well. These SSDs enable mainstream consumers and PC makers an efficient migration path from HDDs and slow-performing entry-level SSDs to a faster and more reliable storage solution.
Un-Soo Kim, Senior Vice President of Branded Product Marketing, Memory Business at Samsung Electronics said that the company has seen the high demand of its 750 EVO SSD in 120GB and 250GB capacities, which have been available in emerging markets since last year.
By adding the 500GB capacity to the lineup, Samsung is ensuring that it caters to customers who need high data consumption. It’s also making all three SSDs available across the globe to serve as many customers as possible.
The 750 SSD uses Samsung’s leading NAND flash technology to provide sequential read and write speeds of up to 540MB/s and 520MB/s respectively with the TurboWrite feature enabled. It also features AES 256-bit hardware encryption to keep data safe and secure.
Samsung is now going to sell the 750 EVO SSds with a three-year limited warranty in more than 50 countries across the globe, including the United States, South Korea, China, and Europe starting next month. The newly announced 500GB SSD is priced at $149.99.

Pepper Robot Will Be A Digital Waiter At Pizza Hut (Video)

MasterCard has announced that they have teamed up with SoftBank and their Pepper Robot to launch a new app for the robot for restaurants.

Pepper Robot will act like a digital waiter in Pizza Hut restaurants in Asia, he will take your order and also let you pay for your food with your smartphone, have a look at the video below.

When greeted by Pepper, diners simply pair their MasterPass account by either tapping the Pepper icon within the wallet on their phone, or by scanning a QR code on the tablet that the robot holds. Pepper can then provide personalised recommendations and offers; additional information on products; and assistance in checking out and paying for items. Pepper can start, approve and complete a payment by connecting to MasterPass via a Wi-Fi connection, and the entire transaction happens within the customer’s digital wallet.

Pepper will be serving customers in Pizza Hut restaurants in Asia by the end of the year, there are no details on when he will be doing the same in other countries.
